Requirements

 

  • Passport (valid for at least 6 months prior to departure)
  • Pilgrim must not have travelled to perform Hajj within the past 5 years (to attach old passport)
  • 2 recent passport sized photos
  • Valid Meningitis immunization (ACWY) certificate
  • All pilgrims going to Hajj or Umrah are required by the government of Saudi Arabia to have a valid certificate of vaccination against Menlngococcal Meningitis ACWY. This vaccination should have been received not more than 3 years and not less than 10 days before arrival in Saudia Arabia, and should be recorded in a vaccination book showing the travellers full name.
  • For infants and children up to 15 years of age, a vaccination report is required for polio, as well as meningitis
  • All women are required to travel with a Mahram (male relative). The Mahram should write his complete information on the application forms of his spouse and children or any relative with whom he is travelling. He should also provide copies of marriage or birth certificates; if these documents were issued outside the country he is applying from, he should then provide copies translated and notarised by a certified translation office. Proof of kinship must be submitted with the application form
  • Any women over the age of 45 may travel without a Mahram provided she submits a letter of no objection from her husband, son, or brother, authorising her to travel for Hajj with Hajj Ltd. This letter should be notarised
  • Individuals who carry European passports must provide proof of residency in the United Kingdom (documents such as utility bills or bank statements, which show address details)
  • Individuals who do not carry British/European passports and who reside in the United Kingdom must provide valid original documents of Leave to Remain indicating that the individual has been residing in the United Kingdom for at least one year. They must also state their nationality in accordance with what is specified on their travel documents. Passport authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reserve the right to return (at his or her own expenses) any pilgrim who has provided wrong or false information about their residence. No applicant under the legal age of 18 will be granted a Hajj Visa if not accompanied by his family
  • If the applicant has converted to Islam, an Islamic Certificate must be presented: this needs to be notarised by an Islamic Centre
